• Hi there,

I am new here:) and I was wondering were can I
find a good tutorial or information on how to
transform my wordpress into a personal website
    instead of a blog. I don’t need a blog I only need a
website where I can post some news and show some
    artwork. Thank you!

i guess there is not specific info out there?

You can certainly do so, it’s all up to you. Use Pages for navigation aids to other pieces of information. Use plugins for photo gallery, etc. The front page can be your ‘news’/blog, or there are plugins (and manual approaches) to make your homepage be a specific Page or otherwise customized.

Blogs are a basis for creation and storage, that just happen to attach themselves primarily to timeline-oriented postings (diaries, news, commentary, etc.). But there’s nothing stopping you from using only pages (I have an upcoming plugin and starter-theme that does just that) and no posts or ‘blog’ whatsoever.
