Using WordPress as a CMS in subsections of my site…

Here’s a question

I’m doing a website for a band. There’s a splash page, home page, media page, tour page, discography, and blog.

I was wondering if I could make static pages for half of them, and then host a blog at a subdomain and have the tour dates and blog on a wordpress thing. So wordpress would be the CMS just in a subdomain like this

“http://www.thebandname.com/blog”
