[resolved] Using Webcomic plugin as just part of a site? (4 posts)

I have a quick question for anyone experienced with the plugin Webcomic. I already have a functional WordPress site, and what I want to do is just add my comics so they can be read and browsed in the usual way, without modifying the existing theme of my site. Can I do that with Webcomic, or is there a plugin better suited to simply integrating a webcomic into a WordPress-based site?

You can do this. Just take a look at the options of the plugin: you can auto insert the comics in any template.

Thanks. It's good to know I won't need to keep hunting for the right plug-in for the job.

There is not so much webcomics plugin (I made a list here - but in french ;-) http://www.li-an.fr/wpplugins/gerer-les-images-dans-wordpress/solutions-pour-transformer-wordpress-en-blog-bd/ )
Two only give the opportunity to insert comics in a theme but Webcomic is the only of the two what manages custom post for comics page (and not categories like the "old" plugins do). Easel comics will be an interesting solution in the future but I did not manage to insert the comics in a theme easily. I'm currently working of inserting my comics on my main blog (http://www.li-an.fr/blog/) with Webcomic.
Stripshow 3.0 will be a nice alternative but there is no news about his development.
