When I disable either plugin, the logo returns.

I only have minification/optimization setup via Autoptimize.

    Any ideas?

AO when used with W3TC cannot load it’s own minifiers, so W3TC’s are used (even if related options are off in W3TC). minifiers being loaded even if disabled in W3TC is a know issue and has been confirmed to be looked into by their devs .. sometime 🙂

    hope this clarifies,
    frank

So do I turn something off in AO? I get a little confused by some terms like “optimizing” vs “minifying” vs “aggregating” vs etc.

I don’t want to lose everything from either plugin as both are great.

probably disabling HTML minification (or swapping page cache plugin) will do the trick 🙂

Disabling HTML minification fixed it! I’ll see if that hurt my speed.

maybe ask the W3TC guys to fix that inadvertent loading of the HTML minifier 🙂

Yup. On that now. I have a note to them about this as well.

    Their response:
    “Hello,
Yes, this is a known issue and I am sorry about that. What happens is W3 Total Cache minify library is being loaded even if Minify is not enabled, therefore causing AO HTML Minify conflict.
We are working on this and this should be fixed in future releases. Until then, you should disable AO HTML minify or switch caching plugin.”

Sounds like they’re “on it.” I have no idea which of the future “releases” will square this up. . . maybe the next one, maybe the 10th one. I’m starting to wonder if there is a single plugin that accomplishes the best of what both W3 and AO offer . . .from what I can tell so far, y’all are some of the most popular plugins for this stuff though.

Do you have a suggestion that accomplishes what W3 does in a way that works better with AO?

I generally advise WP Super Cache or KeyCDN Cache Enabler 🙂

I had WP super cache and it wasn’t doing too well, so I’ll try KeyCDN.

    Thanks!
