Support » Fixing WordPress » Using the "posts_nav link"

  • Good Evening,

    I’m building my first theme w/ some light skeleton code and have run into a problem using the <?php posts_nav_link(); ? code. Basically, it doesn’t work. I’m sure I’m missing something in my index file, but I’ve spent the last hour trying to figure it out and decided to just post a question, haha.

    Here’s my Index code:

    I’m trying to get the next/previous page navigation option at the bottom of a manually created page of category posts. Here’s the code from that page.

    Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated! 🙂

    check the ‘paged’ parameter of query_posts();
    also search this forum for pagination with custom queries.

    Hi. 🙂

    Sorry, I should have used the pastebin for my code. Basically, I’m trying to list a certain # of posts per page (which I’ve done) and then have a next & previous button at the bottom of the page.

    The <?php posts_nav_link(); ? code I’ve tried doesn’t seem to display anything at all.

    Here’s that section of code I’m using on my custom page: Here

    The only area in my Index file that looks like it relates is this piece of code: Here

    Any help you can give me would be more than appreciated! 🙂 Thanks.
