Using the shortcode (5 posts)

I'm somewhat new to this, but with all of these plugins, I rarely see documentation on how to actually use the plugins.

Do I embed just a link on its own line? Wrap the link in an embed -- [embed]link[/embed]? Is there a special class? I have tried everything.

NorthmanCreative.com is the portfolio site I am developing.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I agree! I've been using WordPress for nearing 10 years and I've lost count of the amount of plugins that don't actually tell you how to use them!

Anyway, I also have no idea how to use the shortcode. Please help!

This plugin doesn't seem to need a shortcode. The first line of the plugin's description says:

This plugin will automatically resize your WordPress auto-embeds

Just add the http://youtu.be/xxxxx-xxxxx or whatever to your post, and it will automatically resize as needed.

I agree. I love how plugins demo all the great things they can do with sortcode but never actually show you the short code. Themes do this too. Drives me nuts

This plugin refers to shortcode in many of the support post. But I have not found any shortcode.

time to move on. if you can't document how to use your plugin then how can anyone trust to use.

Actually... if you document how to use I bet the support forum becomes quieter and easier to manage.

Well said! Support queries will go down, and downloads will go up!
