Support » Plugin: Coming Soon Page, Under Construction & Maintenance Mode by SeedProd » Using the plugin as a temporary homepage for a notice of death?

  • Resolved futuritymmx

Can I use the plugin as a temporary homepage which allows access to the rest of the website?

Basically I have been asked to create a simple “in memoriam” page with a black background, photo of the deceased and some text along with links to the rest of the website (which all still be live with its original theme).

I thought that your plugin would be the best choice for this but when creating links to internal pages it, understandably, didn’t work either in “coming soon” mode or “maintenance” mode.

Is there anyway round this so that the links work and take people to the rest of the site?

What you are looking for is called a splash page. Search for that!

Cheers! Didn’t think of that. I played with your demo “” site and can see that I can do what I need to with the pro version of the plugin by using the “Include/Exclude URLs” section.

I just want a solution which is easy for the client to activate quickly with all the content ready to go (but not visible until it is needed due to sensitivity issues!) which is why I liked the look of your product.

Yep, you can do it with the pro version!

Thanks! Looking at some free splash plugins and my worry is that some of them haven’t been updated for a while so I don’t know whether to trust their reliability where as your plugin is well maintained. Thanks for the suggestion though as I didn’t think of that as a solution.

    No problem! Cheers
