How can I add a table to a post? I’ve got some tabular data that I need to display. I entered the table in HTML view, click update, and everything is ok…but when I save the page it strips out everything but the first row. I end up with the opening and closing table tags, one row (including two td’s), but that’s it. If I try to re-enter additional rows (I even tried simply copying the existing row to make only 2 rows), everything but the first row gets stripped out.

    How can I fix this?

    I’m using WP 2.0.1.

If you don’t use the RTE it should work fine.

That’s unfortunate. I’m using the g2image plugin, which requires the RTE. Oh, well…I guess when I need to add a table I can go to my user profile, turn off the RTE, insert the table, save, then turn the RTE back on. Although, then I can’t make any changes to that post with the RTE turned on, or it’ll delete my table.

If anyone knows of a way to hack the RTE so that it doesn’t strip out table tags, it would be much appreciated.
