# Using Storefront with Child Theme

 * Hello,
 * If I am planning to use storefront theme with a premium child theme available
   on woocommerce what would be the way to go forward? Should I first install storefront
   and make all changes to it before buying and activating child theme?
 * Also I wanted to know that in the current functions file of my current child 
   theme, I have added some code. Should I put this code in storefront theme’s function
   file or its child theme?

 * If you’re using a child theme, ideally all changes should be made to your child
   theme.
 * If you’re using a child theme purchased from WooCommerce.com, you don’t want 
   to make any changes to the `functions.php` file of the child theme itself as 
   those changes will be lost when you update it to the next version.
 * Instead, you’ll want to use the free [Theme Customizations](https://github.com/woocommerce/theme-customisations)
   plugin here to handle those changes.
