using ssp with existing podcast

    we have an existing podcast with over 140 episodes. it is hosted on our website, available as a direct download, and available through iTunes.

    don’t ask me why but the XML file is updated by hand each time we release a new episode on iTunes.

    would like to switch to a more straight forward system. the ssp plugin seems the way to go for us, our website is a wordpress site.

    i fully understand how to make a new podcast work with the plugin, but how do i make it work with the existing podcast? any help would be highly appreciated.

    Hi there,

    I’m working on a migration tool that will allow you to move any existing podcast over to SSP, but I don’t have an ETA on when that will be available. The best I can recommend is hiring a developer to write a custom script that will migrate your existing podcast over, or simply manually adding the existing episodes.

    I’m afraid there is no better option than that right now, but when I build the migration tool it will be simply a matter of a few clicks to migrate everything over.
