Support » Plugin: WP2Static » Using SFTP via WP-Cli

So native SFTP support may take awhile to appear and in the mean time it’s suggested to use wp-cli. I’ve only just started testing this plugin and because it doesn’t use SFTP I can’t even get an idea how it’s meant to work. I’ve looked at https://github.com/WP2Static/wp2static#wp-cli-commands as a reference but I think I need some kind of step-by-step howto get started with wp-cli guide. For instance, how do I get the wp2static module loaded into wp-cli to avoid… “Error: ‘wp2static’ is not a registered wp command. See ‘wp help’ for available commands.” ?

    Hi @markc,

I totally get your frustration, sorry!

Happy to walk you through the CLI and everyone will benefit from such a guide, so I’ll work on that!

Please reach out to me at help@wp2static.com and we can walk through the process for your site, too.

    Cheers,

    Hi @markc,

Thanks for your patience with this.

I’ve added a little step-by-step for using the WP-CLI commands to deploy via sFTP here:

    https://wp2static.com/developers/wp-cli/

Please let me know any issues that arise trying that and we’ll figure it out!

    Cheers,

    Leon
