Using ProfitBuilder and trying to customze and re-engineer a solution

I have inherited a ciient’s project which was built using PB, a framework I know nothing about, nor do I understand why PB would even have been used to develop this site. This is for a large pharmaceutical company and the previous vendor, having made many mistakes including building a WP site using ProfitBuilder, has left us struggling to make changes to the site. Shortly we will build a new site without any of PB’s overhead. But in the meantime, I need to figure out some ways to work around the restrictions of the platform and make fundamental to pages.
