The pre element defeats standard word wrap and simply splits words wherever the line ends. Once copied, the text is fine; but when it’s displayed on the page it’s not good. It makes for very ugly presentation of text to be copied.

I tried using other elements, but that results in the Copy button showing at the top right of the page instead of the field, and it copies the source code for the page, not the text of the field.

Is there a way to overcome this?
