Using Plugin after activating it.

  • I feel really silly not being able to use a plugin after I upload it, and activate it. Should there be a code somewhere, mayeb in the “plugin editor” of my control panel? It seems like I’m missing something really easy. I need help with this bad.
Where and how do I find the code I’m supposed to use? I know i’m not supposed to copy all the code in the plugin editor for that specific code into the sidebar am I?

what is the name of the plugin, where did you get it?

    We are not mindreaders.

kj216 could you explain which plugin you are talking about and what you want to do with it?

First of all, what plugin are you using–link please to where you downloaded the plugin.

Plugins get uploaded to the wp-content/plugins folder. If you don’t see your plugin listed in the Plugin Editor, you have have uploaded the plugin incorrectly.

    i won!!! 🙂

    sorry…

i’m really talking about any plugin. the ones i have recently been trying to add have been:
    Create N Place
    Live
    Post Star Rating
    Post Thumbs

i realize that i might have to add some code into the sidebar template. but i’m just not sure WHAT code to add.

usually reading the authors web site or the readme.txt file helps in these cases
