    Greetings All –

I would like to use pipes to specify where a particular inquiry is sent. I understand the placement of the pipe within the form itself. What I cannot figure out is what to place in the “To:” box of the email. I have tried the content on both sides of the pipe, in brackets, to no avail.

For example, I have a dropdown menu with the following…

    LC150|registrar@lcsocal.org
    LC151|president@lcsocal.org
    CLE4|treasurer@lcsocal.org

What goes in the “To:” box?

I keep picking up on something about needing a mail-tag, but I don’t quite follow how to set it up.

    Here’s my site… http://biz144.inmotionhosting.com/~lcsoca5/

Thanks in advance for any help someone can provide.

I read that tutorial, along with MANY others on this topic, and none makes it clear what goes in the email “To:” box. Alas, I figured it out on my own, and it is now working just fine. Thank you.

    you should have something like

    [select your-selection “LC150|registrar@lcsocal.org”
    “LC151|president@lcsocal.org”
    “CLE4|treasurer@lcsocal.org”]

in this example, the “your-selection” is the variable..
So put [your-selection] in the to: field. Or whatever your variable is, just put it in brackets. I have been figuring this out today myself so I hope this helps.
