  • Is there a way to use permalink date structure (/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/) with pages, that is, anywhere else than in archives/posts?

My blog has a custom permalink structure
/archives/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/. Now, I’m building up a photo gallery that could really use pretty permalinks, i.e. /photos/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/ for a page with a slug “photos”. (At the moment e.g. /photos/2006/10/28/ only brings up 404.)

This might be .htaccess issue, but I have no idea where rewrite rules are being defined.

I hope someone has an idea how to make this work without breaking too much WP core code.

    Thank you.

  • Well, instead of starting a new thread I figured I should search and now I have searched, I figure I should bump this thread because I’m also looking for the same thing.
