• Hello,

I set up Google Analytics event tracking on the FSCF “submit” button by adding code to “Submit button input attributes” (FS Contact options > Advanced).

I have two questions about this:

    – When using FSCF, is it better to add event tracking to the onsubmit or onclick attribute?

    – If I use onsubmit, is it necessary to use FSCF’s redirect delay in order to make sure the Analytics JavaScript fires & reaches Google before the page redirects? Would this be necessary if I used onclick?

I would place the event tracking code into onclick, but I don’t want to overwrite the code that FSCF automatically puts there, in case that code is altered in a future FSCF release.

  • Hi figure8 try both options and see which one works for you the best.

I myself have not tried this so I really can’t say which option is the best.

Off-topic: Hello mrbsolution, it’s nice that you want to help, but you didn’t actually answer the question. If you want to be helpful: quality of response is better than quantity of response, in my opinion. If you don’t mind my asking, why do you respond to so many questions?

On-topic: Mike Challis, or anyone with experience, can you provide me any insight on my original question?

Hi figure8 you might like to create a support ticket. @mike Challis will help you further.

    In regards to your comment..

it’s nice that you want to help, but you didn’t actually answer the question.

Yes you are correct, sorry for not answering your question.

In regards to your other comment…

f you don’t mind my asking, why do you respond to so many questions?

I try to help as much as I can because @mike Challis is a very busy man developing this great plugin. Also I always believe that the faster you reply to a question the happier the person is who is asking the question. I could be wrong with this statement but that is my way of thinking.

I appreciate very much your comment.

    Kind regards

mrbsolution, your apology is accepted. It’s great that you want to help. People will be very glad for your quick responses, as long as you include answers to their questions. 🙂

On the original question: Anyone out there with Google Analytics experience?
