Using only Pages and not Posts?

    Hello everyone,

    I am pretty new to wordpress and I was wondering if creating websites out of just pages and no posts is possible and not too difficult. If anyone has any experiences they could share it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

    Doing that is quite possible.
    I made a simple site for my girlfriend using that method.
    Everything in the site is made into pages.
    All you have to do is create the pages (this will require that you know a bit of html, or you could always use the WYSIWYG editor included.
    And then under Options – Reading —> You would set the “Front Page Displays” to Static Page and select the page that you want to be your Homepage.

    Hi,
    Thanks for the info, yeah that basically looks like what I want to do, looks like it’s time to learn some wordpress now.
