Using old wordpress.com account

    I starting my http://devcompage.com on WordPress.com. I have migrated to a self-hosted blogging platform with a web host. I want to go back to WordPress.com using the same URL. I have just renewed my domain (devcompage.com) with Automattic.

    Is it possible to go back to my old WordPress.com account using the same domain?

    You can export the contents of your self-hosted site (go to Tools menu – Export) and import it all back into a WordPress.com account. From there, WordPress.com support should be able to help you with switching the domain.

    Oh, ok. To create the new WordPress.com account, I need to just give it a new domain name then once I have imported the content, I can request WordPress.com support to switch the domain. Thanks.
