# Using old version of wordpress

 * I am trying to install WP on my directory on my school server, but unfortunately
   it is running PHP Version 4.4.9 and WP 3.2 requires PHP5. Is it safe to use WP
   3.1.4? WP is strictly going to be used for CMS and utilize little to no plugins.
   Thoughts?
 * My other option and easy fix is to use an external server, but I really want 
   to use my current subdomain at my university for phonetic purposes.

 * Unfortunately you will be at risk with older versions of wordpress and php, as
   the updates include security patches, so its at your own risk basically..

 * Definitely it’ll be risky as you won’t have the supported security patches
