Support » Fixing WordPress » using “nice permalinks” – 301 or 302 redirect?

  • Resolved romaniucc

I’m using custom permalinks on my blog. Now, all is working fine as far as wordpress is concerned (using version 1.5), but the awstats script indicates that all permalinks are 302 redirected.
What do I need to do in order to swich them to 301?

Note: wordpress did write the htaccess file by it’s self

    Thank you,

Hi, would it be possible for you to post what it was that you actually did in order to switch the 302s into 301s? I seem to be having the same issue w/ Awstats saying that everything is a 302 redirect.

I’m using nice permalinks with the standard wordpress-written htaccess file, and I’ve got several diff blogs with versions ranging from 1.5.2 to 2.0.4. Was it something general that can be done within htaccess or does it involve something else (like Angsuman’s Permanent Redirector Plugin)?

I’m sorry to bump this… but I still haven’t figured out this issue and was hoping someone would shed some light on the 302 issue.

Can anyone please help me to solve the 302 redirect. Also, I have setup me blog as a subdomain, does that case the problem?

    thank you,
