Using Multiple Separators Between Categories in WordPress 3

Hi!

I would like to display the categories or tags beneath a post like this: Category1, Category2 & Category3.

As you might know the default display is Category1, Category2, Category3.
But I’ve seen that it has been done in the way I just mentioned too.

I found this tutorial — http://www.doc4design.com/articles/wordpress-the-category-multiple-separators/ — tested 2.8.4 – 2.8.6, but I use version 3, and the category-template.php doesn’t seem to work just like the one described in the article.

Anyone knows how this is done?
