    Hi,

I’ve just installed the Meteor Slides plugin to use on the entry page of my AgentPress 2.0 Child Theme, and just I’m curious to learn if there may be any known compatibility issues before I begin.

Also, I’m wondering what dimensions to make the images / slides so that they fill the viewpoint. Is there a standard or recommended size for this?

I plan to insert the slideshow at the top, in place of the current header image. Of course, I’ll increase the height of the header area. Any guidance is much-appreciated!

    Best,
    Alan

Hi Alan, I have used Meteor Slides in many StudioPress themes and it shouldn’t be a problem at all.

I don’t see a header image in the site you’re working on, maybe you already removed it, but the header area there is 960×300, that’s how large I’d make the slideshow, maybe a little shorter depending on the slide images.

    Hi Josh,

Thank you! That’s great. Yes, I had already reduced the header to 1px, and it’s now at 0px. I’ll probably need to raise the height again to post my client’s logo. Anyway, I will save the slider photos with these dimensions.

Also, I have installed the ‘Background Slideshow’ plugin to get the full-frame slideshow effect. I’m still figuring out how to get more than one image to play. It’s not nearly as intuitive as Meteor Slides. If you have developed (or can even recommend) a plugin to serve this purpose, I would gladly abandon this one and try yours.

If you need a full screen background slideshow I’d recommend Pippin’s Full Screen Background Images plugin, all his plugins are awesome.

Great! I’ll give it a try. Thanks for everything!
