Support » Plugins » Using Mailpress and Subscribe2 simultaneously

  • Hi folks,

I’ve been using Subscribe2 for handling my subscriptions. However, one has to pay to add another plugin to make this send out e-mails in hourly batches, and I need this functionality as my host will only let me send 500 every hour. Mailpress allows one to send in hourly batches, but I can’t see a way to add individual subscribers myself with this. I often ask new customers, “would you like me to sign you up for updates”, and a simple “yes” lets me do the legwork for them from the backend. I was thinking that I could leave Subscribe2 running for those people for whom I do this, and let Mailpress handle mailouts for those who signed up from the frontend. Is this possible? Or is there a way to do what I want with Mailpress alone? Could I, for example, import the new name via a csv file, or will this trigger a request for the subscriber to confirm?

    Thanks!
