[resolved] Using hashtags in anchor linking to different part of page (6 posts)

When I try to create a link such as test multisite is setting the absolute path to this link because of the hashtag, I tested removing the # and the link stays just a href="test" so it's because of the # hashtag.

I've disabled all plugins, and i've activated twentytwelve so this isn't related to a plugin or template.

My multisite is setup to use sub-folders if that matters. Why is it adding the absolute path to my links when a # is present?

  2. Creating a link in where? A post?

    In a page

  4. You mean it makes the link http://domain.com/foo/#test and not JUST #test?

    That's not wrong.

Why is that not wrong? On a standard install i'm able to create a link with only #test and it doesn't create the absolute path

  6. It should. Abspath is going to be 'more' required on Multisite, due to the nature of virutal pathing. Rmemeber the subdomains and subfolders aren't real, so the relative nature of a #test link could have numerous situations where it won't work.
