However, this is unsatisfactory as layout and spacing doesn’t just copy directly from GDocs to WP. * Also, not sure if I should upload photos to WP media first. bandwidth is always an issue. * I’ve played around with Gutenberg and starting to really like it. The editor is just the online interface to the database, so if you are not online, you can’t really use it. You could install a copy of WordPress on your computer, and use that while offline, but you would still have to get it out of there and into the online copy. * There are plugins that can help you publish a post by using email (see Postie) or XML-RPC, but that doesn’t solve what you are wanting in “layout and spacing”. Really, web publishing should not be concerned with spacing at all, and layout is over rated. I’d really like to hike the Appalachian Trail but that’s not going to happen anytime soon, if ever. * There’s always a wifi hotspot somewhere… maybe not convenient though. Maybe miles away. * If you’re a Comcast/Xfinity customer then you have access to any Comcast WiFi user’s Wifi who chooses to open their router to the public. Else, you probably have a friend or relative with a Comcast account. * Learn to ‘[War Drive](https://searchmobilecomputing.techtarget.com/definition/war-driving)‘. * You might even ask the homeowner or business for permission to use their Wifi… that could lead to some great friendships down the road. * You might also ask for desk space or accommodations (parking spot?) at media outlets. Most communities have a local paper, radio/TV station, library, college, etc. and they might find your visit fascinating. Human Interest stories. * Meetups. Check in to local tech and WordPress meetups as you travel. There’s usually a connection there or someone friendly with ideas. * As Joy mentioned, email posting is an option via a cell phone’s email service. You can always edit your post later and add pictures… * Posting to Facebook is possible with an automated crosspost back to your Website via RSS or just a sidebar widget to present ‘breaking news’. * As far as I know, there’s no special editors and no way to run a WordPress instance from a Chromebook. I’m probably wrong about that though. * You could create a WordPress instance on a Windows, Mac, or Linux based laptop. You could create your content on that then sync or syndicate that content when a WiFi connection becomes available. * Or even a Raspberry Pi with WordPress installed on it. If you’re traveling in a motorhome or travel trailer you might build a development box with WordPress on that. Sync up as the opportunities arise. * How about this idea… * Try to be very public about your online activities as you do your work… There’s someone who would love to chat and see what you’re up to. Hand them a business card with your domain name and a tagline. I’ll be bushcamping most of the time so not within a lion’s roar of a wifi signal. * I’d like to be able to compose blogs on my Chromebook, offlin of course, with photos etc and all formatting done. Then I would like to upload blog or blogs when I get near a decent wifi signal * I was thinking of using google docs and then copying and pasting the resultant text, with photos and videos, into Gutenburg. * Would this work?
