# Using Google Maps

 * I’ve looked through the documentation and FAQs and I see where to change the 
   OSM/Google Tile Server URL (default is [http://](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/using-google-maps/?output_format=md){
   s}.tile.openstreetmap.org/{z}/{x}/{y}.png) but I have no idea of what value to
   use for a Google Map.
 * Based on the setting name it would seem Google Maps are supported, and tbh would
   be my preference if possible. Can you share the proper URL string to use for 
   a Google map instead of an OSM version?

 * I should probably change that in the settings screen. While it technically works,
   it is against Google’s terms & conditions for Maps and they may block your users
   from accessing the map tiles at any time. I wouldn’t recommend it.
 * If you had tried to search for something like ‘google maps tile server url’, 
   surely you would have found what you are looking for,
 * I just tried with [http://mt1.google.com/vt/lyrs=m@110&hl=pl&x=](http://mt1.google.com/vt/lyrs=m@110&hl=pl&x=){
   x}&y={y}&z={z} and that seems to work.
