using genericons instead of social media icons

    Is there a way I can replace the social media icon images with genericons?

    I installed the WP plugin Genericon’d

    and tried to change the Facebook icon using CSS.

    I was able to select the img but then discovered that I couldn’t use “:after” after an <img> tag. I was planning to hide the img and replace it with the html code for the Facebook genericon.

    Any suggestions for how I can make this work?

    Hm, maybe via Javascript changing the “src” value to the desired path.
