[Resolved] Using FPW to Display Posts on Static Homepage

  • Hi Dave,
I just downloaded your plugin and can’t wait to start using it. I was wondering if you could give me some pointers as to how I can use FPW to have it display post excerpts on static homepage, other than on the sidebar. What I’d like is to have something similar to what they do at http://chnl7700.mnsu.edu/ – a post excerpt with thumbnail image.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thnx,
    Jorge R.

    Hi Jorge,

I’d suggest starting by reading the documentation and checking the existing support threads as what you’re stating you’d like to do has already been discussed here.

There is one thing I will point out right away: FPW is by its very nature a widget, so it only works in a sidebar/widget area. In your case, you’d just want to create a new sidebar that is only used on your static homepage and use FPW there.

    Thanks for using the plugin!

    Thnx Dave,
    I’ll do my homework.
    Ciao
