Using Font Awesome Icon In menu

    I tried to add font awasome icon in the menu.
    For doing this I opened
    Dashboard > Appreance > Menu
    Screen Option and checked CSS box.
    Added CSS Class fas fa-home
    By doing this the icon showed in the menu but it broke the layout.

    #1. Can you please assist me in adding font awesome icon without breaking the layout?

    #2. Moreover, I want to add different colours to individual icons. Please suggest if this can be done.
