Using flash for text titles?

    Hi all,

    I have seen in many places across the web that people are using dynamic flash applets (.swf’s) to display titles in non-standard fonts. Is there an easy way to do this in WP?

    Also, how does it affect the SEO of the page? Can search engines read the text, even if displayed by flash?

    Its no harder to embed Flash for blog titles than it would be with any other site but it can negatively impact on your SEO as the search engines can’t index/read Flash files as easy as text. Also, bear in mind that Flash (and JavaScript) on sites can rapidly drain an iPhone. So if you’re hoping that people will access your site via their iPhone, go easy on the Flash and js.
