Hello all and thanks for the great work.
I am wondering if there is an easy way to load an RSS feed playlist (following this link) for the JWplayer WP plugin… ?
Sure, this shortcode works:
I tried that does not work:
`echo do_shortcode(‘[jwplayer playlist=”http://localhost/dev-2014/feed/?audio=test.xml”/]’);’
What am I doing incorrectly?
Thanks for the response.
On my installation both short-codes and embedded html works. But I see sth strange on this test page:
I have both the Youtube feed example (taken from JWPlayer website) and an internal feed (just the xml file is replaced) both for embedded HTML and short-code using an internally defined player.
On my Laptop, only html-embedded Youtube feed works (probably since it prefers Flash than the internal Player HTML5!) on Firefox, Safari and Chrome.
On my iPad, ONLY the internal feeds work!
I actually don’t care about the Youtube feed but can’t understand why the same thing works on iPad and not on regular desktop.. Any hints?
Short-code internal-feed works on Safari and Chrome but not on Firefox.
Thanks for your response.
What I still don’t understand is the random behavior of the non-youtube feeds on the example page: http://forumnet.ircam.fr/jwplayer-rss-feed-test/
according to browsers.
Firefox doesn’t work. Safari works only on one. Safari iPad works on both.
Seems like the problem comes from the fact that FireFox can not play MP4 in HTML5 mode and the drawback to Flash in the case of the player with HTML5 as Primary for an RSS feed does not seem to work well on Firefox.
Works fine on Safari and Chrome.
The top playlist fails because this file is missing – http://forumnet.ircam.fr/crossdomain.xml
The bottom one works for me in Firefox on my Windows 7 machine, though.

I just upgraded to the 6.8 player and don’t remember how I set up the original on about 2 years ago. I think I added the gdata link to a media playlist or something. Well, I am receiving the result. I added the crossdomain and tried adding it several ways. I’m not too worried about the html 5 version if I can just get this working that would be great.
Try to use this, for YouTube – http://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/api/playlists/C74AA449C5EBFD5C?alt=rss
[jwplayer player=”1″ playlist = “http://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/api/playlists/C74AA449C5EBFD5C?alt=rss”]
The above is what eventually worked. Thank you so much.
I am using wordpress JW player and using rss feed from a podcasting site spreaker.com
