 * First of all I just want to say what a great plug in this is. Fantastic Job.
 * I’m following the guidelines on your tutorial section for including IPTC and
EXIF meta information in the photo description box. This works really well but
is there are way to add this code automatically to all photos on upload or import?
 * It’s just too big a job to do this manually to every photo after each upload.
 * Also…slightly off topic but related supplementary question… This feature led
me to update all my IPTC information and re-upload my photos. I figured I would
have to delete and re-import them from the albums to get WPPA to read the new
data but then I found the option in Table V111 called recupperate. When I tried
that it said 0 photos processed. Should this have worked or am I mis-understanding?

 * Photo albums -> Settings admin page check Table IX-B3 and type the text in Table
IX-B4. There is already an example. This ensures the description is added to
   new uploads/imports.
 * When done, goto the Album admin -> Edit album information and click the `Apply
new photo desc` link to set it to all photos in the album.
 * So, the only things to do is: make/modify the content, turn it on and apply it
on every album you have alreadey.
 * Is’nt it beautifull?
 * Recuperate searches for the files in ../uploads/wppa/ This fails when they have
been resized ( resizing in php will loose iptc and exif data ). ( It must be
changed to use the sources if any, see Table IX-H, but if you have the sources,
you can Remake all, this will also fix it. ).
 * You can Import from your depot with the update switch checked. (Need ftp the
originals to your depot). It will find the existing photos that must be updated,
and then save the exif and iptc during that action.

 * Yes it is a beautiful thing 🙂
 * Regarding recuperate I’m not really following what you say. My set up is I have
all photos in the following path and this is specified in IX-H2:
    /home/sites/
   leerigby.net/public_html/wp-content/uploads/gallery/uploads. Within that location
are mutliple folders – one for each album and in those folders are the jpegs.
 * I use smartFTP to monitor my local hard drive and FTP them to that location.
Then I use the import files function to point a gallery at a folder so the gallery
   grabs the new photos.
 * So if I update all my ITPC data in lightroom and then FTP them back to the web
server what buttons would I press in WPPA to update the stored ITPC data?
 * Thanks for such a prompt reply earlier too.

 * Btw I don’t resize any photos on import.

 * If you FTP, put them in ../wp-content/wppa-depot/admin/ ( if you are admin )
and use the photo albums->import admin screen. The place you put them before (
IX-H2 ) is the place where wppa puts the sourfiles if you want that. Organized
   by album. Try IX-H1a.

 * Ok, I’ve got it working nicely now. I just needed to select the ‘update’ switch
when importing as you said earlier.
