I am using the Sendit newsletter plugin which has the facility to import the email addresses of commenters into a mailing list. This is a great but I need to add an opt out field so that commenters can choose not to receive any mails. At the moment the Sendit plugin adds ALL the commenters email addresses to the list.
I have looked at various newsletter plugins and most are too bloated or too complicated for what I need. I work for a very small charity which sends out one email update to subscribers. We are trying to reach more people so to be able to include more email addresses would be great but we need to get their permission before adding them.
Is there another plugin I could use that would be better? Or could I add some php code in the comments submit form which would block some addresses from being imported into the mailing list?
Thanks for any advice.
