using different templates

  • I created a blog page – tomsemmes.com/blog – and am now considering adding pages to create an entire site around that blog. Though each page would have a similar header and footer, the main content area and the side bar would change on each one. I know I can apply different templates to each page.

    My question is: if I leave off the sidebar on a page is there a way to expand the content area to fill the entire width of the web page? From what I have seen, the content area is limited by the original template and the basic structure of a page cannot be changed

    Yes – using a combination of specific page templates and CSS.
