    Hi!

I am currently testing a few WordPress security plugins. Defender seems to do exactly what I want and does not slow down my test website at all!

I am actually looking for a security plugin I could use on many websites at the same time. At my job, we have over a hundred WordPress websites, all hosted on the same server. We are looking for a security plugin that could be used on all those websites at the same time without slowing them down.

Those are all “small” websites. They might have ~50 users per month. Though, some of them are events websites, which means they have almost no users for 9 months, then have 500+ users per month near the event.

Would you recommend using Defender on a hundred “small” WordPress websites, all hosted on the same server? Would it affect performance? Do you have any recommandations on the subject?

    Thanks a lot!

    Hello @exilednarwal28,

Defender should not visibly change performance of the sites – but like every plugin you install on your site it will change it (when doing performance tests you can spot the difference).
But users of those sites should not “feel” anything.

Can you tell me if that is dedicated server or the same shared hosting?

    kind regards,
    Kasia

    Hi Kasia,

Our 100+ WordPress sites are on the same dedicated server.

    Thanks!

    Hi @exilednarwal28,

I think it is fine for running Defender. Please note that our Lockout module will store fail login or when someone visit a 404 page as log. This will be kept in your database for 30 days by default, in some case your databse size will be increase. If that case happen you can clear the log or change the storage days.

If you have any additional issues, please let us know and we’ll be happy to help.

    Best regards,
    Hoang
