Support » Plugins and Hacks » Using DB Cache Reloaded with WP Postviews

  • Most people using wp postviews and last version of DB cache reloaded must have seen that the count of postviews isn’t working right.

After hours searching what might be the problem, or which filter to use… I decided to try all of the versions of DB cache reloaded plugin. It seems that post views stops to work well after version 1.1. I’m back with the version 1.0.1 of DB Cache Reloaded(that’s the last one working well for me), and now postviews plugin is working well.

So there’s a change between version 1.0.1 and 1.1 that make the postview plugin not to work properly. I can’t tell what is it, but now at least we have a solution until it’s fixed on a newer version.

I don’t know if the author of the plugin or anyone with PHP knowledge can help to find what makes postviews not working right. I think we have first to check the differences between version 1.0.1 and 1.1.

Until then, the partial solution to have postviews working well is to use DB Cache reloaded 1.0.1 ….

We too are having the same problem. Is there any other solution apart from switching to an earlier version of the plugin?
