Using categories to shunt posts to ‘pages’

Hi,
I’ve just created my WP blog and decided to create a few pages within that can be accessed via the header nav. I have downloaded the plug-in to allow posts, when categorised, to publish to certain pages and not the homepage all the time…however, I seem to be missing something as the posts all go to the homepage (correct) but they don’t show up on the category pages…?

Thoughst anyone?
