Using Article instead of CreativeWork?

Hi there, I noticed that the plugin’s structured data uses “CreativeWork” for the @type but doesn’t seem to let you change it to something different.

In our case, we want it to be “Article” instead since our site is 99% articles.

Is there any way to change that? Ideally, it would be a customizable shortcode option since a site may contain multiple post types (Article, Review, Drawing, etc).
