Support » Plugin: Styles: TwentyFourteen » Using a header image wider than 1260 – No option not to crop

  • Hi, I love the ability to widen twenty fourteen with a plugin and I’ve set the overall width to 1364 and I have a matching header image. When I import it, WordPress wants to crop it to 1260 and doesn’t allow me to skip cropping. Is there a workaround without me having to write code? Thanks for your help.

  • Try this in style.css:

    .site-header {
        background-color: #000;
        max-width: 1260px;
        position: relative;
        width: 100%;
        z-index: 4;
    }

    Change 1260px to 1364px and see how it goes.

    Obviously, there is a disclaimer that you should use a child theme!
