Using a different theme in WP.org

    I am trying to import to WP.org from WP.come. The new theme I install in WP.org is not support in WP.com. Currently I am using two different theme, should I install the old theme same as WP.com on WP.com, then import the content from WP.com to WP.org? Once it was done, then I change to a new theme.
    Or can you give me a better suggestion?

    That’s not necessary. The themes will not affect the content export/import.

    The old theme has 3 side bar on the right, the new theme has 1 right and 1 left, once I moved over to WP.org, I end up with 2 left side bar and 2 right side bar, and I don’t have enough room for the post. I don’t know how to fix it. Now I delete every thing on the Org side, and plan to move every thing over first before I change the theme. Will it work?

    Not if you intend to use the same theme. You will almost certainly need to make some adjustments to the display if you’re moving from a 3 column theme to a 5 column theme.

    The new theme only have one right and one left side bar. Some how the template box holder changed on me.
