[Resolved] using a child theme with formation

My site molecreative.co.uk uses the wonderful Formation theme.

I’ve done some css tweaks that are beyond the scope of the menu-driven customisation. It seems sensible to put these into a child theme, especially as Formation has just been updated.

But when I activate the child theme, even with no code in the style.css file, the featured homepage content, custom menus and footer widgets won’t display.

Is there any way to implement a child theme or, if not, what’s the best way to carry css changes to successive versions of Formation?

These sound like settings that were set in the dashboard, are they? It’s normal for theme settings to reset when you create a Child Theme, as it’s the same process as switching to another theme.
