Support » Theme: Celestial - Lite » Using a background image not a solid colour

  • Is it possible to use a background image on this theme rather than a solid colour? I’ve uploaded what I want in the background settings of the theme, but there doesn’t seem to be a “clear” option on the background colour as there is in some other themes. Am I missing something?

  • Hi @geckogirl,

I use this theme myself and IIRC I posted this question a couple of years ago and I think the answer I got back was that, whilst it’s *in theory* possible, the way the rest of the page components appear means that most of the background picture is wiped out.

I think you could get the picture to appear above the header and below the footer break, but that’s all.

Might be available *out of the box* with the paid version but I don’t think the free one offers any adjustments to let it work.

Have you looked back through any of the old qs on here, you (and I) probably aren’t the only ones that have thought about this.

HI, just checked my history file on here – here’s a link to my question and the reply I got back HTH

Many thanks for the response – I did see this thread and tried the img{} workaround but nothing changed. I thought maybe there had been an update since then as it seems a pretty standard thing to want and the theme options suggest it should work – but it seems not. Guess I’ll be looking for a different theme!

    Hi @geckogirl,

Have you tried customizer options to change background image. You can find customizer options here:
Go to dashboard -> Appearance -> Customize -> Background IMAGE -> Select background image-> you will got many options to adjust background image.

Note: If background image is not visibile on some of the section then you need to remove background color of that section .

Let us know how it goes for you.
