Support » Plugin: Custom Users Order » Uses a mixture of role name and role display name to compare

  • I added a role named team-member with the display name Team Member but none of the users with this role would show up when Team Member was selected. Looking into this further, it seems that the plugin is saving the role display name instead of the role name (slug) in the database. It is also using the display name (in the check boxes) to compare with the role names (in the user list) so it could not find the correct items in the list.

I have modified the plugin myself to fix this issue so that it displays roles using the display name but uses only the role name in the database and to compare with items in the list. Unfortunately this took more than just a few lines to fix so I can’t post here but feel free to contact me and I can send you the modified files.

Thanks for your valuable comment Godwin. The current version of plugin will neither support the additional roles nor multiple user roles. It will only support the in-built roles of users. We will be working on these features in the next version of plugin.

Can you add the capability to add text like a short bio as well as remove the email address – or add/subtract other fields as well –

I have not tested yet since I just installed this but my goal is a role list where items can be dragged dropped and reordered on the front end by anyone

like a section called team and then player1 player2 each with the role of player

I have been able to create a new role (player) using another plugin that seems to work with this plugin – the objective is to list a team/list of player roles
