Support » Plugin: WP User Manager - User Profile Builder & Membership » Users logged in but website thinks they are not logged in

  • Resolved coffeeshop

I’ve been using WP User Manager for a long time now and it’s been great. My website is still on Version 1.4.3 because I have too many customization to upgrade to the new versions without making heavy customization updates as well.

The problem I’m encountering is: After the last few WordPress upgrades, my website thinks users are not logged in even though they did go through the log in process.

Looking forward to advise and leads on how to resolve this problem.

How have you made the customizations? Have you edited the plugin files, or added the code somewhere else?

Can you recreate the issue? Do you have caching (server or a plugin) installed?

It’s hard to diagnose and I’m only supporting the last few versions I’m afraid.

I would take a copy of your site (staging or dev) and upgrade the plugin to see if the issue resolves itself. If it does then at least you can start working on porting the customizations. If not, then the issue is somewhere else.

The many customization code was added to my theme’s child functions.php file

I am able to replicate the issue just by logging into my site on a browser that I have not cleared cache.

I do not have any caching plugins installed.

    Thanks for the lead.

Can I confirm this is resolved now?

The problem persists but thank you for the direction for me to move towards.
