Support » Fixing WordPress » Users from main domain login to subdomain, how?

I am currently stock with this question. I want authors from my main domain to be able to sign in to a subdomain with the same username and password. If they were to change passwords in main domain, it would change the password on the subdomain as well.

Sort of like syncing user’s login credentials but only for authors?

If someone knows how to do this please let me know, I can’t move forward with my project without knowing if this is possible

    Thanks!

  • There is no easy way for this.
But, you need to connect your sub-domain to the wp_users database table of the main domain.

If you know how to do it, then its awesome. Otherwise, I am not aware of any plugin for this purpose. Maybe someone else has a better solution.

Thanks Rohit, At least I have something to go on. I did some small research based on what you said above and it seems like creating a “Network” with the multisite featured is the easiest way to do this, Would you agree?

My main site is a publication so I wouldn’t want to screw it up. All help is really appreciated thank you!
