  • Hi. I have the plugin installed and updated on my website under wordpress 5.1, with buddypress 4.2.0 and BBpress 2.5.14 all updated and although I configure different options for users, for example to receive emails for new topic or to receive emails for each novelty, nobody receives anything.

    Users are properly configured as they receive notifications as for example to make friends.

    It is the goal for which I installed this plugin, so I would need to know that it may be going wrong.

    Are other BP emails on your system going out? Say, for private messages.

    Have the BPGES email types been properly installed? Go to Dashboard > Emails and look for those with “ges.subject” in their titles.

    Are your forum topics being posted in *group* forums? This plugin is only intended to provide notifications to activity in groups.

    The message privates works fine.

    In emails I have:
    Title: [{{{site.name}}}] {{{ges.subject}}}
    In text: {{{usermessage}}}

    The topic is in a Private group private forum

    But I have found a problem.
    In my profile -> Messages, there is a “please wait loading messages” warning, which is always stay like this and does not show messages.

    I have new information after many tests.

    If I create a debate directly in the group’s forum, users are notified of the creation and new responses.

    On the other hand, if I create a forum in this group, and within a topic, users can access the new forum and consult the new topic, but it does not notify them.

    The solution is to create the topics directly in the group’s forum, but it is not a “perfect” option if we want to organize a large number of topics with different themes.

    Any idea where the problem might be?
