EDIT: I realized that the “simple subscription” product option isn’t showing up when I have all WooCommerce integration enabled and disabled that guest customers can buy and making an account is enabled.

I’m confused if this plugin can only be used through paying for the yearly subscription, but I’m only using the “Paid Membership Subscriptions – Effortless Memberships, Recurring Payments & Content Restriction” plugin and I’ve followed the steps to enable payment through WooCommerce, but when I made an account to try it out the plugin doesn’t allow me to add in my card information and goes straight to “pending” I also cannot buy the subscription through my store. It says “read more”. Also, is having stripe something I must have for the plugin to work properly?

    Hi @darleenac,

Yes, indeed the “Allow customers to place orders without an account” setting must be disabled. As stated in our documentation here:

For this Subscription Plan association to work properly we need the following WooCommerce settings to be met:

    • Allow customers to place orders without an account must be disabled
    • Allow customers to create an account during checkout must be enabled

A user account is necessary in order for the Subscription Plan association to work.

Did you disable the “Allow customers to place orders without an account” setting? Is everything working correctly now?

I’ve had them disabled when I made the post. I’ve tried enabling “Allow customers to log into an existing during checkout” as well and it still won’t show up as a product.

It show up as this fine but won’t show up as something you can buy.

I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong.

    Hi @darleenac,

    1. I also cannot buy the subscription through my store. It says “read more”.

As I can see in the screenshot added by you, you have set the product to be visible and can only be bought by users subscribed to one of the subscription plans on your website. Please check the screenshot here: https://snipboard.io/B735xe.jpg

If at “Display For” you set “Gold” only the members subscribe to the gold subscription plan will be able to see the product. Please read more about the Restricting Product Viewing setting here and about Restrict Product Purchasing here.

    2. But when I made an account to try it out the plugin doesn’t allow me to add in my card information and goes straight to “pending”.

What payments gateway are you using from WooCommerce? Do you use only Stripe? Do you encounter this issue with others payments gateway?

Please go to WooCommerce-> Orders-> and send screeshots with “Order Notes” section that is displayed in the right part of the screen.
