Unfortunately, our users cannot complete their own registration. We recently changed from using the add-on to simply allowing our users to check their email and click a link.

That is not working. They are brought to the login page and a red banner reads, “something went wrong”.

I notice in the emails generated for users. Both login credentials and the activation link are created from this: [#login_details#]

It seems like the user should get their login information in that activation email at the same time. This saves them from receiving yet another email. Very frustrating process. We have far too many issues with this plugin guys.

    HI @bward,

I just tried to register using email activation on our demo here: https://demos.ayecode.io/userswp/

    Everything worked as it should.

The email should look like this: https://paste.pics/62d0c654d73cd5cad855653dff7a3812

The activation link should be something like yoursitedomain/login/?uwp_activate=yes&key=EpgV3A4nyHlm2tMaQKvT&login=username

If on your website this is not what users get after registration there could be a few reasons:

1 Old plugin version, make sure you are running the latest version
2 Misconfiguration, if you suspect that’s the problem, please submit a ticket on our website and I’ll assign the ticket to a developer that will guide you through the right configuration steps. Ticket can be submitted here: https://userswp.io/support/
3 A conflict with another plugin. You could try to disable all non UsersWP plugins momentarily to exclude that’s the problem.

I left the email activation option enabled on the demo for you to test it and see that if set up correctly, it works without problems: https://demos.ayecode.io/userswp/

Let me know how it goes,

    Thanks,
