# Users cannot be activated

 * We protect parts of our content for members-only with the WP-members plugin. 
   Since recently we cannot activate new registrations anymore. Not in bulk, not
   individually. There is no error message. Once you click on ‘activate’, the site
   shows a blank page. We have now 61 users waiting to be activated.
 * We recently upgraded to wordpress 5.6 but downgraded again to 5.5.3 thinking 
   that the problem would be solved. Which is not the case.
 * We always update plugins whenever a new version is available. The WP-members 
   plugin version we use now is 3.3.7.1.
 * Any idea how we can solve this?

 * You do have the most recent version, and there are no currently known issues 
   with activation. The fact that you’re getting a blank page would indicate a php
   error during the form (page) submission.
 * Make sure you test with debug mode enabled for WP so you can determine if there
   is a PHP/server error. (If you don’t know how to enable debug mode, see this

 * If there’s an error when running in debug mode, let me know what it is.
